About Zellaton
Zellaton was founded in Germany in the 1930s by the acoustic pioneer Dr. Emil Podszus.
Early in his career, Dr. Podszus devoted himself to studying diaphragm materials and acoustic structures, inventing the revolutionary “Zellaton triple-layer foam diaphragm.“
This design combines a rigid outer layer with a lightweight foam core, achieving the ideal balance of stiffness, damping, and low mass. It effectively reduces resonance and distortion, becoming one of the foundational innovations in modern high-end driver design.
